March 27, 2018, Denver, Colorado:

The laser show built on "Ae Ajagar Aashhe Tere", the popular 'father & daughter' song in Bengali, exceeded 10,000 hits and growing. It has the voices of Manick and his younger daughter, Payal.

"Ae Ajagar Aaschhe Tere" was based on the real life story when Manick’s US-born daughter was barely 5 years old. It reflects how the little girl desperately tried to learn Bengali to be able to speak with her grandparents and other relatives coming for a visit from India. When the album was released in 1986, she stole the hearts of the listeners all over the world and received a surge of personal mails from little kids like herself and their parent - wishing her best of luck. Lyrics jointly written by her parents, Shikha and Manick Sorcar, and the music composition by Manick, it was a true family production in an attempt to attract their US-born daughter to her roots and in the beautiful Indian culture. The laser animation with the song, was released on YouTube 2.5 years ago.

In 1986, it was a part of "East Meets West", a half-hour TV special organized by American Cablevision, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA.
